South London Citizens

South London Citizens, part of Citizens UK, is a powerful alliance of local Community Organising groups. It was established in 2004 as the second chapter of London Citizens, and today it continues to work in the boroughs of Wandsworth, Lambeth, Croydon, Southwark, Lewisham, and Greenwich. St Matthew’s Church was one of the founder members. Other members now include schools, churches, mosques, synagogues and a variety of charities, resident and LGBT groups.

It takes action for the common good, securing many victories for the people of South London. It develops the capacity of its members to build power locally so they can hold politicians and other decision makers to account. It works on a range of issues, from small local campaigns to large national campaigns.
